- Neurotoxicity biomarker enzymes (AChE, Na+,K+-ATPase), neurotransmitters (dopamine, epinephrine, nor-epinephrine, GABA, glutamate, aspartate, DOPAC, HVA) and receptors (Dopamine D2 and NMDA). CNS active drugs, chemicals, herbal extracts their active principles, multidrug nanoparticles delivery etc.
- Lipids (phospholipids, fractions of phospholipids by TLC and HPLC, cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, fatty acids, esterified fatty acids, triglycerides, gangliosides), lipid enzymes (HMG CO-A reductase, PLA-1&-2, PLC), reactive oxygen species (LPO, GSH, GSSG, 4-HNE, H2O2, protein carbonyl), anti-oxidative enzymes (GPx, GR, GST, SOD, catalase), apoptosis markers (apaf-1,caspases-3,-6, Bax, BCl2,PARP), inflammatory markers (IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α), immunohistochemistry (COX-2, NOS-2, NF-κB, tyrosine hydroxylase, Cu/Zn SOD), histopathology and behavior tests (rota rod, grip strength, Morris water maze, circling behavior, narrow beam maze, elevated body swing etc).
